To purchase this or other items designed by Mallory, visit either Dismantled’s Etsy Shop or the New Orleans Craft Mafia.
Mallory is a proud member of the New Orleans Craft Mafia and runs “Miss Malaprop,” a blog dedicated to showcasing independent artists and designers, particularly artists local to New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.
The New Orleans Craft Mafia was all set for a splashy launch scheduled for September 2005 — then Katrina blew threw, scattering members as far afield as Louisville, KY, and Austin, TX. The Craft Mafia is regrouping, and welcomes your business.
A native of Gulfport, Mississippi, Mallory Whitfield now calls New Orleans home.
Her primary craft is reconstructed/recycled clothing and accessories.
Mallory, 23 years old, has a B.A. degree in history from Loyola University. She is fascinated by clothing and personal style, by the impact clothing and personal style have  on society… and how society returns the favor. Mallory enjoys dance parties, cowboy boots, street fashion, random acts of beauty, people-watching, and sugar-free hazelnut lattés. Fashion inspirations include Mary Poppins, Katharine Hepburn, Cyndi Lauper, Vivienne Westwood and drag queens the world over!
