This where I
indulge my Inner Wonk: if a topic interests or offends me
sufficiently, I’ll research and write about it.
I am apt to
stumble across a new Mad Enthusiasm predictably but
irregularly. One of the joys of the Internet is that I can now
share my Mad Enthusiasms with anyone mad enough to read about
them.
These reports
generally do not reflect my day-to-day responsibilities, either
at my former University job (software installation, online
authentication and authorization, more general systems
administration, technical conferences, technical documentation)
or at home (one husband, five kids, two dogs, two hamsters, no
mice (they all died, finally), no guinea pig (it died
recently), and a house in suburban Southern California).
