Digital Photography: Wish List: Batteries

Rechargeable batteries were my first failure at fiscal discipline, since I ended up buying Radio Shack NiMH AA batteries and a charger before I had made enough from stock photography commissions to pay for them.

Buying the throw-aways were killing me.

Another failure of fiscal discipline: the AC adapter for my Kodak EasyShare CX 7330.

I excuse that because I now use the Kodak for product photography for eBay auction items. The small items I have so far submitted work well with table-top product photography, and the AC adapter works great to speed up the workflow.

The Kodak point-and-shoot, its AC adapter, an inexpensive lightweight table-top tripod, a black remnant from a local fabric store, and a small metal patio table to drape the fabric on combine with natural light through our sliding door to produce entirely acceptable product photography.

But my budget still has a hole in it.

(The lightweight tripod does not work well at all with my new Canon Rebel XT. The camera-and-lens are too heavy; the tripod tips over. Yes, the Rebel XT was yet another fiscal discipline failure.)
