As with other sites, DreamsTime requires a prospective contributor to open a (free) account on their website in order to contribute photographs. A corresponding biography or profile encourages photographers to include information about their equipment and favorite subjects.
A short “Sell your images” webpage explains terms of payment and general submission procedures. Technical requirements are listed on the “Upload files” page.
No most-sought list, but a special forum for designers to request subjects, plus a dynamic list of “busy” photographers.
DreamsTime’s minimal acceptable size is 2000 x 1500 pixels. (My Kodak EasyShare just squeaks by at 2032 x 1524; the older
Epson does not.) The photographs must be in RGB JPEG format at maximal quality — I’ll have to doublecheck some earlier photographs, before I reset the camera’s photo quality. Ancillary embedded EXIF information (title, description and keywords) must be supplied before the photograph will be accepted.
I have not yet tested DreamsTime’s approval process because the iStockPhoto photographer approval took so long. Now I’m waiting for the delivery of a new camera.
