Book List: This Month’s Grab Bag
This month’s book list has several holdovers from last month, plus two biographies (one of Julius Caesar, the other of Christopher Columbus) and a breathtakingly spectacular book of photographs by Lennart Nilsson documenting human life from its beginning in the womb through all its stages until death.
When I was pregnant with my first child, someone gave me a copy of Nilsson’s previous book, A Child is Born. This book covers the same ground and much more, with decades of technological improvements and, of course, accompanying learning by Mr. Nilsson.
The photograph below is from a sneak-peek slideshow available online, hosted by the New York Daily News.
