God Blog Con 2006

The first annual convention of Godbloggers met last summer at Biola University, and was such a smashing success that Biola agreed to host it again this summer.

There were sessions on every topic you could think of related to blogging about religion, including First Amendment issues involving freedom of religion. Biola was a marvelous host, and — in case any fellow Papists are a bit nervous about entering Protestant territory — everyone from start to finish was exceptionally gracious and throughtful. As befits a collection of bloggers, everyone was also well-spoken and talkative!

The smash ending was a special screening of a trailer for last year’s The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Pencil in the dates August 3-5. I’ll be there. I would love to see the Romish contingent greatly enlarged!

Do you find news here worth reading? Do you agree (or disagree) with my slant on that news? Buy me a cup of coffee! My recipe for a daily cup: 8 ounces of 2% milk, 2 shots of espresso, 4 shakes of ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoons chocolate syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and a topping of light whipped cream. Drop a tip in my jar — whatever amount you want, whatever amount you think I've earned.
