NTARC Reports Police Killed, Hotel on Fire in Mumbai

According to Homeland Security’s National Terror Alert Response Center, top police officials in Mumbai have been killed in coordinated terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

NTARC also reports that the Taj Hotel is on fire.

“Shootings, explosions and other attacks are taking place throughout the city.”

Westerners and others are reportedly being rounded up at hotels and held hostage.

Indian security personnel are being called up, but are as yet overwhelmed by events.

Breaking News reports via Twitter that the Indian Army is moving on the Oberoi Hotel and that hostages have been taken there.

UPDATE 2: Counterterrorism Blog says authorities suspect a combined operation by the Lashkar-e-Toiba and Student Islamic Movement of India.
