Christianity & Capitalism

The victor writes the history… which is how the Middle Ages got saddled with the moniker “Dark Ages” when the Enlightenment philosophes started chopping heads off.

Now, revisionist history is on the march, showing how Christianity nurtured both science and capitalism, and Amy Welborn has the quotation.

What alarms me is how much history and ancient knowledge is willing tossed out the door by self-termed modern secular scholars. This, in contrast to the unplanned loss of knowledge caused by social and political upheaval as the Roman Empire fell apart.
