This Week’s Catholic Carnival is Up!

Hosted at To Jesus through Mary.

Here are the first three posts that made me click through:

  • The first-click-through award goes to Kevin Miller at Heart, Mind & Strength for “Signs and Mercy” because God was merciful enough on me during Lent, now many years ago, to grant me a sign. (I love the post’s illustration.)

  • The second-click-through award goes to Joe Wetterling at Ho Kai Paulos for “Answering Tough Questions – Mary and the Saints” because asking tough questions and finding solid answers can be an important apologetic tool, as well as a way to grow in faith yourself.

  • The one-more-before-the-door award goes to Musings from a Catholic Bookstore for “Why Let Newsweek Have All the Fun?” because Benedict XVI doesn’t need our help protecting himself and the Church from the attacks of post-modernist secular media — if you read his writing that’s amply demonstrated — but we are none-the-less called to speak out in defense of the Faith and the successor of Peter.

As always, there are more posts than the three listed. Click through to see the entire Carnival for yourself.

Do you find news here worth reading? Do you agree (or disagree) with my slant on that news? Buy me a cup of coffee! My recipe for a daily cup: 8 ounces of 2% milk, 2 shots of espresso, 4 shakes of ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoons chocolate syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and a topping of light whipped cream. Drop a tip in my jar — whatever amount you want, whatever amount you think I've earned.
