I was listening to Hugh Hewitt’s program on my computer yesterday afternoon when his guest, Dr. Thomas Barnett, cited his follow-up book to The Pentagon’s New Map.
Ha! I thought. I’m one step ahead. I already have a copy of Blueprint for Action!
Not that I’ve read it yet.
I expect it will, as the first book, have good situational anaylsis and a wildly progressive and optimistic view of human nature and our ability to influence world events.
Not that we shouldn’t try.
But in his four-way grid analysis, asking a yes/no question and looking at the four possible results (yes/yes, yes/no, no/yes, no/no), Dr. Barnett leans toward the rosy-colored yes/yes while I expect the gloomier no/no.
Get the books.
Do you find news here worth reading? Do you agree (or disagree) with my slant on that news? Buy me a cup of coffee! My recipe for a daily cup: 8 ounces of 2% milk, 2 shots of espresso, 4 shakes of ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoons chocolate syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and a topping of light whipped cream. Drop a tip in my jar — whatever amount you want, whatever amount you think I've earned.
