Carly Simon Reveals Vain Target
A British newspaper, The Sun , says it has the answer to who the target was of Carly Simon’s song “You’re So Vain”:
But now the target has been revealed as gay producer DAVID GEFFEN, at the time head of Carly’s Elektra record label.
I don’t care about the mystery — I never liked the song.
But here’s a new mystery: why does The Sun think that it’s pertinent to include David Geffen’s sexual orientation?
The article doesn’t similarly tag Carly Simon, Mick Jagger, Kris Kristofferson, Cat Stevens or Warren Beatty…
Do you find news here worth reading? Do you agree (or disagree) with my slant on that news? Buy me a cup of coffee! My recipe for a daily cup: 8 ounces of 2% milk, 2 shots of espresso, 4 shakes of ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoons chocolate syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and a topping of light whipped cream. Drop a tip in my jar — whatever amount you want, whatever amount you think I've earned.
