This Week’s Catholic Carnival is Up!

Hosted at Living Catholicism.

Here are the first three posts that made me click through:

  • The first-click-through award goes to Musings from a Catholic Bookstore for “Faith and Life and Image of God” because we have soldiered through five children receiving First Communion and four children receiving Confirmation. The fifth is starting confirmation this year. My husband and I have served as home group facilitators for the first four, and have signed on again for the fifth. The faith formation materials provided are underwhelming and uninspiring from both sides of the teaching divide.
  • The second-click-through award goes to A Catholic Mom in Hawaii for “Altar Linens” because I am partial to stories of how faith and science mix — or, in this case, distilled water and consecrated wine.
  • The one-more-before-the-door award goes to Ales Rarus for “Cardinal Wright Oratory Choir CD Preview” because I love sacred choral music over just about any other sort of music, to the annoyance of my children. I hope that Funky Dung keeps us up-to-date on the progress of the CD!

As always, there are more posts than the three I pick out. Click through and see for yourself!

Do you find news here worth reading? Do you agree (or disagree) with my slant on that news? Buy me a cup of coffee! My recipe for a daily cup: 8 ounces of 2% milk, 2 shots of espresso, 4 shakes of ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoons chocolate syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and a topping of light whipped cream. Drop a tip in my jar — whatever amount you want, whatever amount you think I've earned.
