Welcome to the Catholic Carnival. This edition is in honor of St. Irenaeus, the patron of my parish, whose feast day is June 28th.
My own contribution, to kick things off, is a photograph taken before Mass began at my daughter’s recent graduation from our parish school. She is the youngest of five, and this Mass marked the end of 18 years of participation in the life of the parish school. God bless everybody involved!
Christine at Ramblings of a GOP Soccer Mom posts notes about a talk given by Father Robert Levis at the IHM Conference, and her thoughts in response.
Penitens at A Penitent Blogger writers about Disasters During Worship. Does being caught walking out of Mass with a wailing baby count as a disaster? The presider was our local bishop. I was mortified, but I think the bishop was amused. I would guess the congregation was relieved!
Ian at Musings from a Catholic Bookstore muses over the mind-boggling multi-billion-dollar donation made by Warren Buffet.
Funky Dung at Ales Rarus provides fodder for pondering concerning the proposed changes to the English-language version of the Mass.
Do you find news here worth reading? Do you agree (or disagree) with my slant on that news? Buy me a cup of coffee! My recipe for a daily cup: 8 ounces of 2% milk, 2 shots of espresso, 4 shakes of ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoons chocolate syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and a topping of light whipped cream. Drop a tip in my jar — whatever amount you want, whatever amount you think I've earned.

This Week’s Catholic Carnival…
This week’s Catholic Carnival is up. It’s short and sweet, but still full of good Catholic thought. Take a minute to check it out! God bless, Jay……
