Front page story on the Wall Street Journal this morning about patchy economic conditions.
As a consumer, if you have a job you’re golden.
If you’re looking for a job, sucks to be you.
As a business, if you’re “too big to fail” your’re golden.
If you’re a small business looking for a line of credit to smooth cash flow, expect banks to “just say no.”
Go figure. Life isn’t fair.
Don’t sit around waiting for Prez B Cool to bail out your keister — he’s too busy micromanaging major segments of the economy and plotting to take over other segments. (The latest target: the Internet, in the name of “national cybersecurity.” At least it’s not for the children.)
UPDATE: Barry Ritholtz at The Big Picture also noted the WSJ article, plus an article in the New York Times that expands on the reluctance of consumers to spend.
