California #1 In Foreclosures In October
|
RealtyTrac reports that even as the number of foreclosures in California continues to drop for the third month in a row, the state suffered the highest number of foreclosures (85,420 properties) of any state in the nation.
Southern California led the state in foreclosures in October.
Riverside County is not the place to be unless you’re a buyer with cash hunting for short sale bargains. The county suffers a foreclosure rate that is 4.9 times the national average and twice the state average.
Orange County should not feel too snooty. It ranks fifth in number of foreclosures, behind Los Angeles, Riverside, San Barnardino and San Diego counties. Orange County saw 5,156 properties foreclosed in October.
