This Week’s Carnival of the Recipes is Up!

This week’s host is Leader Ladies.

Here are the first three posts that made me click through:

  • The first-click-through awards goes to Leader Ladies for “A Trio of Foil Recipes” because I have fond memories of foil dinners from when my own kids were in scouting. Actually, the incidents are best remembered as a basis for stories funnier to tell later than live through at the time…

  • The second-click-through awards goes to The Common Room for “Grilled Hawaiian Burgers” because variations on hamburgers are always welcome — although I’ll have to make the teriyaki sauce from scratch to avoid the wheat hiding in most commercially-prepared teriyaki sauces.

  • The one-more-before-the-door awards goes to FitBuff for “How a Digital Scale Analyzes and Calculates Your Body Fat Percentage” because I just joined a gym and am now keeping a food journal. Portion-control is my personal weakness, especially snagging the last bite or two so it doesn’t go to waste. Instead, it ends up on my waist!

As always, there are more posts than the three listed. Click through to savor every bite.

  1. Thanks for the award! haha

And good luck with the food journal. It’s much easier to control your eating, when you see exactly how much is going in!

  2. Too sadly true. I have always eaten well in that all the food was good stuff rather than junk — just too much with too little exercise. Now with the food journal to keep me honest on portion control and the gym sessions for more exercise, I’m hopeful. We’ll see.
