Gluten-Free Support: Vegetarian Times

Vegetarian Times boasts a regular “gluten-free pantry” feature.

The January 2010 issue’s gluten-free pantry holds a recipe for Orange-Apricot Crisp that I’ll try, providing I can find brown rice flour. A local Ralphs grocery store stocks white rice flour (unsweetened). A local Albertsons stocks swettened white rice flour. I haven’t yet seen brown rice flour, sweetened or unsweetened.

I could try substituting more readily available oat flour, but the flavor and texture will likely not be similar.
